I am professor in Computer Science at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, since 1982.

I was born at KTH in 1945, studied 1951-1955 at Engelbrekts Folkskola and 1955-1963 in Östra Real. I took the civilingenjör (MScE) exam in Engineering Physics at KTH in 1968, and the DrTech in Information Processing at KTH in 1972. I also worked as a Supercomputer programmer at the Courant Institute of New York University (1966), with object-oriented programming systems at the Norwegian Computing Centre NR(1969-70) and CAP Sweden (1971), as an OR analyst at the Swedish Defence Research Institute FOA(1972-79), and as a distributed systems and computer guru at Philips Financial Terminal Systems(PEAB,1979-82). I spent sabbatical terms at the University of Oregon (1986,1989,1993) and was part-time advisor to the Swedish Institute of Computer Science SICS.
