| Remove the bolts that hold the wheels in place. | |
| Remove the wheels from the frames (but keep in mind which wheel goes where), and clean as much sand and dirt from the bearings (and wheels) as possible. | |
| Remove the first bearing by pushing out the spacer with a skatekey. Now push out the other one with your thumb. | |
| Once every couple of times you do this, you should also clean them with white spirit ("wasbenzine"), as follows: | |
| Put all the bearings in a small pot, and add white spirit. Take care that all bearings are covered with it. | |
| Now shake the pot gently, or use an old toothbrush or something to clean the bearings. | |
| When the bearings seem clean, remove them from the pot, and dry with a bit of cloth, to remove excess white spirit. | |
| Now the bearings are ready to be relubricated. A teflon oil works best, but remember, it only takes a couple of drops. | |
| Now reassemble the wheels and the skate, and of you go. |
