Call for Papers

Applied Soft Computing is an international journal promoting an integrated view of soft computing to solve real life problems. Soft computing is a collection of methodologies including Fuzzy Systems, Neural Networks, Evolutionary Computation, Rough Sets and other similar techniques, that aim to exploit tolerance for imprecision, uncertainty and partial truth to achieve tractability, robustness and low solution cost.

This special issue will present case studies of how soft computing has been applied in the industry. Submissions should include the business/engineering problem, architecture and details of implementation of the soft computing based solution, duration, best practices and lessons learned, metrics used, and business impact based on the metrics.

The application areas of interest include but are not limited to: Life science, manufacturing, telecommunication, aerospace and defense, automotive, media & entertainment, utility and energy, financial markets, insurance, banking, travel and transportation, consumer packaged goods, chemical and petroleum, electronics, and healthcare.

Publication

Authors are encouraged to utilize the opportunity given by this on-line publication to include animations, software demonstrations, and video clips etc. The papers will be published on Elsevier Science Web Site as soon as they are accepted, which enables authors to publish their work FAST and readers get the latest work in Soft Computing on their desktop!
