This is a true Polish joke, of the old school, so you have to put
yourself into a Pole's position.........

#############################################################################

A polish fisherman, who was just managing to keep his family feed with
what he caught, let alone have any for the market, was out fishing one
day all alone. He had been up with the dawn, and it was near dusk now,
when he felt a nibble, and then a bite, so he set the hook and began to
bring in the fish. He soon realised that he had never hooked a fish so
large as this one seemed to be; the fight to land this fish was just
about all the old man's strenght could do. When all of a sudden, the
fish pops up to the surface and indeed he is the largest fish the
Fisherman had even seen let alone catch. The fish propped itself on the
gunwale and said, "please man, let me go; let me go and I will give you
three wishes." Well, the fisherman was unsure, a fish this size could
feed his family for months,a nd he could sell some in the market too, so
he had no thought of letting the fish go. Again, the fish said, "let me
go, man, and three wishes will be yours." The fisherman looked at the
fish and said, "I don't know; I never heard of a talking fish, and with a
fish the size of you OI could feed my family well, and buy some need
things too. Besides, how do I know you will give me three wishes."
The fish talked to the fisherman for many minutes, and finally convinced
the man to relase him. Grudingly the fisherman released the large fish.
The fish instantly jumped into the water and dissapeared. The fisherman was
not really surprised, until the fish reapeared and \asked him what his
first wish was? The fisherman thought long and hard, and then ask, "I
can have anything, wish for anything in the whole world?" The fish agreed.
The fisherman said. "Okay, I want all the Mongol's in the whole world,
those in Upeer Mongollia, and Lower Mongolia, and Central Mongolia, to
gather up their ponies, mount up and ride day and night , night and day,
to the borders of Poland, camp over night and go home, riding day and
night, night and day to Mongolia." The fish, stared at the old man and
said, " a Very strange wish, but it's done. The Mongol's are packing
right now."
The fish then asked what the fisherman's second wish was. The old man
thought hard and long until, he brightened and said, "I want to repeat
the first wish, all the Mongol's in the world to mount up their ponies
and ride night and day, day and night to the borders of Poland. camp
overnight, and return to Mongolia." The fish was a bit stunned, and ask
the man, "are you sure, most men ask for rishes and fortune, and power
and position, yet you ask for the Mongol's to ride to Poland, not once
but twice? If you are sure, this I will do, but are you sure man?"
The fisherman assured the fish that that was his intent, so the fish to
the man that his sefond wish was granted,a nd as soon as the Mongol's
returned from the first trip they would begin the second.
The fish then said you have only one wish left, and wondered what the old
amn would wish for. The fisherman totally surprised the fish by wishing
the exact same thing, for all the Mongol's in the world to mount their
ponies and ride day and night, night and day to the borders of Poland,
camp overnight and go home. The fish said granted, but you must explain
why you want these Mongols ridng to Poland's border three time. The old
fisherman smiles and said, "You see, fish, for the Mongol's of the world
to mount theri ponies and ride night and day, day and night to the bordrs
of Poland three times, they have to cross Mother Russia six times!!!!"
eoj

Hugs and smiles, and a good morning to all of agmland!!!!!!!!
