3. Printers at SBC (Roslagstullsbacken 35)

3.1. HP Color LaserJet 9500MFP

This is the SBC default printer. The printer queue is called "hp". Please use this printer. The other SBC printers are are more expensive so they should really be the last option.

This printer has low quality. The company Portal AB that has the support contract for the printer has given us the information that the printer can't handle papers with a big black areas.

[Important]Important

This printer can't handle print-outs with big black areas. The paper then get stuck inside the printer.

Our contract with Portal specifies that we pay 0,056 SEK for black and white A4 printouts and 0,48 SEK for color A4 printouts ( status as of November 2006 ). A3 costs twice as much as A4. These prices excludes the cost for paper and staples but includes the cost for toner.

[Note]Note

As the cost for color prints is higher, we can save money by printing in black and white. lpr -o ColorModel=Gray file.pdf
