Neuron Electro Physiological Classification
The Master Thesis has been done within the Blue Brain Project whose aim is to build a model of the neocortical column. This modelling is based on biological data issued from experiments done on rat’s neuron cells. One important aspect of the simulation is the relevancy of these data. Then the objective of this thesis is to find a way to automatically validate and classify them by looking at their electro physiological responses. The work has been divided into five steps: creation of a tool to display the electro physiological traces, extraction of their features, quality control of them, features analysis and classification. This thesis brings out relevant features extracted from the traces that can be used for the implementation of a better cell classifier.
