Abstract

Advanced course in computer science focusing on human-computer interaction.

Goals

The goals of the course are to give the students

Introduction and motivation. Perception and cognitive psychology. User`s models. Design methods. Evaluation methods. Support for interface development. Multimedia.

Prerequisites

2D1953 Graphics and Interaction Programming. Or 2D1323 Computer Graphics and Interaction and 2D1356/2D1357/2D1358 Object Oriented Program Construction.

For 99/00 we plan on demanding 2I1130 Cognitive Psychology instead of Object Oriented Program Construction.

Follow-up

2D1410 User Centered Program Development, 2D1416 Language Engineering, 2D1418 Computer Support for Cooperative Work.

Examination

A written examination (TEN1; 1.5 cr.).
Computer assignments (LAB1; 2.5 cr.).
