Maximum size of course
Due to the limits induced by the router lab, we can only accept forty (40) students to this course.

Prerequisites
2D1392- Protocols and Principles of the Internet

Written Examination:
Monday the 10th of March, between 08-13, in rooms M36-38.

Tutorials (Övningar)
To pass this course, the student is required to show up at at least 75% of the tutorials. Needless to say the student is also expected to have understood and completed the assignments in advance of the tutorial session.

Laborations
All labs are mandatory. The student will risk losing his/her place in the course if a lab session is missed.

Lab assignments
The lab assignments can be downloaded here. Username and password will be given at the first lecture. Please note that though we will have hard copies of the instructions at the lab, we expect the student to have studied the labs in advance.

Some related papers
It is highly recommended that the student has perused these papers before embarking on the labs.


The above five documents will be printed out for the students use prior to the first lab. The three documents below will not be printed. Thus if the student wants a hard copy of these, they are expected to print them out themselves.

In addition to the above, handouts given at lectures is to be considered course literature.

Recommended reading:


Though not course literature, we heavily recommend that the student read through RFCs 2453 (RIP version 2) and 2328 (OSPF version 2) for a true understanding of how these routing protocols work.
