To provide an overview of collaborative learning activities and discuss its possible technological support


Collaborative learning refers to an instruction method in which students at various performance levels work together in small groups toward a common goal. Studies focused on the effects of the collaborative learning have shown that the active exchange of ideas within small groups not only increases interest among the participants but also promotes critical thinking. Which is the role of computers in this complex process of interaction, reflection and construction meanings?
