Prerequisites for the Visualisation course are (the equivalents of)
methods II (2D1240) and either of Computer
graphics with interaction (2D1323), Graphics
and interaction programming (2D1953/2D1640) or Computer graphics
and user interfaces (NA8740).
Concretely this means that you should understand and be familiar with the
following words and concepts: view and model transforms; scene graphs; the
RGB and HSV colour models; polygon models; pixels and voxels; scalars,
vectors and matrices as applied to graphics.
If you don't know all of these terms you need to read up on computer
graphics. A suitable bok may be Interactive Computer Graphics: A Top-Down
Approach with OpenGL by Edward Angel, Addison-Wesley, 2003.
