Cortical Associative Memory

Cortical Associative Memory

This research area connects biological realism to cortical associative memory. The first work of this kind done within the SANS project is described in (Lansner 1982). This study is continued and extended in our work on the cell-assembly theory. Another current focus is cortical dynamics and oscillations, investigated by means of models of intermediate complexity with simple units and realistic circuitry. Our aim here is to relate the experimentally observed complex dynamics to the structure and function of cortical neural networks.
