TERESA WENNBERG




WELCOME TO MY BRAIN

Teresa Wennberg is a painter and a multi media artist, born in Sweden.
Beside her painting studies at Atelier Harburger in Paris, France she studied photography
with Neal Slavin and worked with John Cage and Nam June Paik.
One of the first artists to make video at the Centre Pompidou in Paris (1978),
she went on to explore the possibilities with computers.
Her multidisciplinary background: law, economics, language, painting, computer graphics
has fueled her interest in cognitive functions such as language, memory and perception,
which often consist a foundation for her work

She has received numerous grants and awards and has participated in major exhibitions such as:
Biennale de Paris; Ars Electronica, Linz; Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; Fondation Gulbenkian
Lisbon; Centre G. Pompidou Paris; Liljevalchs Konsthall, Stockholm; Kulturhuset, Stockholm;
InterCommunication Center ICC, Tokyo; the VR-Cube at KTH, Stockholm; Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Santiago de Chile.

Since 1997, she is developing Virtual Reality and computer art at the Royal Institute of Technology
KTH in Stockholm and writing about media technology.
Currently, she is also involved in restauring stained glass windows
for the church St.Martin de Corsavy, P.O. France
